I guess after being on here for a few years, it's about time to write a journal
Here's some stuff about me, if you're interested: I'm 15 at the moment (but I'll be 16 three days before Christmas!) I'm half Japanese, from my mom's side. I'm the shortest kid in my school, and although I'm in tenth grade I'm constantly told by seventh graders that I look like I should be in elementary school
Hmm...What else...Well, a little bit about my drawings, then. I've been drawing realism since seventh grade, so that's three years. Before that, I had this terrible wannabee-anime style that just didn't work, and total Mary Sue characters. I'm glad I made the transition to realism, personally.
So, there's some boring facts about me! Because I know you're ALL interested
No problem, Just start from lesson one and build up, there's also links to John K, who I highly recommending reading, almost daily he updates on very helpful techniques and practices to develop your skills, and FAST!
He has a huge collection of stills and other cartoon pictures that help incredibly with learning foundation and hierarchy
And with your skills your gonna sky rocket if you keep on practicing these lessons
It's Preston Blair's guide to cartoons, it's a great way to funnel your artistic skills into more simple shapes, but maximizing their impact! Cartoons aren't as daunting when you have some fundamentals to develop them with :]
